What is Catering Works' VP + Marketing Director Lorin Laxton's Favorite Summertime Cocktail? The Adult Snow Cone!
This is a refreshing way to cool off and have fun in the warmer months. We make this as an interactive beverage station using shaved ice, but you can try this at home using crushed ice from a Vitamix or blender. We had a ball testing these out one late afternoon last summer!
Scoop, Shake, Spoon + Sip one of these flavors: Dirty T | Burbs | Blue Ginger | Blackberry Beret | Carnival Ride ADULT Snow Cones

With December right around the corner, the holidays are quickly approaching! Not only is the excitment of exchanging gifts and baking holiday cookies steadily increasing in our neck of the woods, but we're also growing nostalgic and remembering holidays past.
In order to celebrate this festive and reflecive season, we wanted to share some of our favorite holiday moments with you!
Though everyone loves a holiday meal, a lot of planning and stress goes into its preparation. Making meals for loved ones is a wonderful way to show how much you care, but planning a menu that pleases everyone is always a little difficult. This year, instead of loosing sleep over recipes, listen to the advice from our Executive Chef, Frank Peters! He's here to solve your menu planning woes.
Read more Finding the perfect venue for your wedding reception or corporate event can be a difficult and, sometimes, stressful task! Locating a space with an aesthetically appealing ambiance, quality amenities for event preparation and guest enjoyment, and a great location is hard to come by: however, we think we’ve found a gem!
Don't let party planning ruin your holiday fun! With our years of knowledge and experience, we're the team of elves you want on your side this season!

Here at Catering Works, there are many things we love about Fall: the cooler weather, falling leaves, crackling fires, and trips to The State Fair. However, our favorite part is the delicious foods in season! We love cooking with local and seasonal produce, and Fall’s unique harvest has been inspiring several items on our menu!

They say the way to a person's heart is through their stomach. While we agree, we want to make more than just our guests tummies happy! Surprise your friends and family by making your meal an experience!
"Always remember that your wedding is yours. Do what makes the two of you happy and don't skip the little things. And don't rush through the pictures. Your guests will entertain each other at the reception and can wait. The pictures are the only thing that remain for a lifetime and are absolutely worth taking the time to get them right."
The days are getting shorter and Summer is coming to an end. Though we’re not excited to say goodbye to lazy days at the beach, we’re happy to say hello to changing leaves, apple cider, and warm nights by a blazing fire! The cool colors of blue and green are transforming to rich, warm yellows and golds. This is why we think gold is the perfect color to implement into your September parties! We’ve gathered some inspiring images from the web, and hope that they’ll get your creative gears churning!
Thank you for all of your support in our pursuit of being recognized as US Foods Next Top Product! There is no way we could have done it without YOU!
Especially as North Carolinians, we know August to be the hottest month of the year. That doesn’t get us down, though! With a coastline full of beautiful beaches, we know the best cure for sweaty brows is a trip to the shore. That’s why this month’s color scheme highlights the brilliant aqua hues found in our beautiful sea. So, grab your sunglasses and enjoy!

This storyrelates to one of the objectives of our exhibit-- trying to showcase beauty itself. We used beautiful flowers, beautiful table settings, and beautiful colors.
Read moreWe liked the gothic and dark side of this story. We even wanted to incorporate some thorny vines around the silver crown we used for her. Unfortunately these didn’t make it in the shipment. In the Grimm version, there is reference to the thorny briars which were the demise of the previous suitors before her true love was able to overcome this obstacle.
Read moreCinderella was a perfect choice, because everything in that story leads up to the ball, one of the grandest special events that could be planned. The whole dress concept in our exhibit is very Cinderella – the mice that were the whimsical element in the story were also in our display!
Read morePart of our inspiration was Disney's The Frog Princess. The transformation of the table, or transformation of the dress into the table could be seen as evoking the same feeling of changing one’s appearance to a more glamorous state.
Read moreWe took inspiration from Disney's Tangled--we loved how her hair was so crazy and long! The table itself incorporated the dress and the handbag, as a celebration of hair as a feminine attribute.

Some of you may have seen our Facebook album featuring photos from our entry in the March tabletop competition at this year’s Las Vegas Event Solutions & CaterSource Convention. But what you may not know is how we compiled the entire display and featured eight place settings for different princesses! We thought it would be fun to show you what’s behind our fairytale-inspired layout. Catering Works VP Lorin Laxton and Design Consultant E.W. Fulcher collaborated on the idea (read full bios here).
